About Tugnology

The Tugnology Conference came about a few years ago at the request of a considerable number of delegates who had attended the renowned ITS Conventions. Quite simply, they asked for a two day 'no-frills' conference dealing solely with tugs and to take place during the intervening years of the biennial ITS Convention.

To date three hugely successful Tugnology Conferences have taken place with ever increasing numbers of delegates. Southampton 2007 (183 delegates), Amsterdam 2009 (274 delegates) and Antwerp 2011 (312 delegates).

Feedback from these events tells us that the hands-on, nuts-and-bolts focus of papers and the lively forum sessions, have proved extremely popular with delegates. The immensely useful information and interaction they provide, together with the extensive networking opportunities at the event, have been shown to drive forward both business relationships and key elements of the development of the industry.
